Original release notes
Keep your loop moving.
Make a sticker follow the action, give your clips a new entrance, and keep the conversations you want to come back to. Divine 1.0.25 brings more ways to play, with fewer interruptions while recording, editing and messaging.
More room to make it yours
- Follow the action. Track a moving object and let text, stickers or drawings move with it. Blur and pixelate stay where you put them.
- Give clips a new entrance. Nine more transitions include zoom, spin, whip pan, blur, glitch, flash, iris and stretch.
- Put a shape around it. Mask clips and overlays with a circle, rectangle, heart or linear fade, and choose how soft the edge is.
- Steady a shaky take. Stabilize a clip from the editor with one tap.
- See your sound. Add bars, mirrored bars, a wave or a circle that move with the sound in your video.
- Start with the sound. Lip sync opens the sound picker first. You can also ask a creator to make a video's sound reusable through a private message.
Keep what matters
- Back up your recordings. On iOS and Android, turn on "Back up recordings to your gallery" in Settings Create & share to copy new recordings to your phone's gallery. Save several clips at once, or bring saved Divine camera clips back into your library after their content credentials are checked.
- Clear your inbox without losing the conversation. Dismiss a chat to put it away while keeping its history. A new message brings it back.
- Keep up with your interests. Follow hashtags and open them from the Home feed picker.
- Reply with a video. Video replies are now available by default.
- Paste and go. Paste a supported Nostr identifier into search to open its profile or video directly.
Fewer interruptions
- Recordings are better protected when you leave the app or flip cameras, and tapping Stop at the time limit no longer adds the same take twice. On Android, a headset button meant for another app no longer starts a recording while Divine is in the background.
- Divine no longer gets stuck on "couldn't unlock your local database" after a crash or when your phone is low on storage, and Post no longer stays disabled until you restart the app.
- Editing and exporting use less memory, with fixes for long recordings, large stickers, and blur and pixelate drawings.
- Exporting works again on Android 11 and older.
- On Android, videos with lots of clips layered on top now export. If there are more than your phone can play at once, Divine tells you to move some back to the timeline.
- Messages catch up more reliably after time away, and switching back to an account no longer marks chats you already read as unread.
- Signing in with a pasted private key works even when it starts with a capital letter or breaks across lines.
- The Following feed keeps loading in order instead of jumping back through older videos or missing videos posted in the same second.
- Reporting uses one form throughout the app, with room for a note on every reason. Choosing Other requires details.
- Pasting a list of hashtags splits it into separate tags. A video can have up to 10 hashtags of up to 50 characters each.
Store availability follows each store's rollout.
