OpenAgentCore 0.0.12-rc.2

Original release notes

OpenAgentCore v0.0.12-rc.2

Prerelease for testing installs, upgrades and uninstalls. latest still points to v0.0.11.

Install, or upgrade an installation of v0.0.10 or later after a backup (Upgrade):

curl -fsSL https://github.com/MiniMax-AI/OpenAgentCore/releases/download/v0.0.12-rc.2/install.sh | bash -s -- --version v0.0.12-rc.2
curl -fsSL https://github.com/MiniMax-AI/OpenAgentCore/releases/download/v0.0.12-rc.2/install.sh | bash -s -- --version v0.0.12-rc.2 --upgrade --install-dir "$HOME/.oac/core"

Protocol changes: none since v0.0.10. Nodes, the microsandbox helper, E2B templates and self-hosted machines keep working; applying this release's Runtime is optional.

Operator notes:

  • PostgreSQL now comes from ghcr.io/minimax-ai/openagentcore/postgres, the official postgres:16-alpine image pinned by digest, so installs no longer need Docker Hub. An upgrade switches to it with no data change.
  • Node enrollment commands are valid for 1 hour.
  • A node keeps the proxy settings its install command ran with, in /etc/oac-node/.env.

Changes since v0.0.12-rc.1:

  • Uninstall. oac uninstall removes a Core installation: containers, data volume, directory and lock, after a confirmation. oac-daemon uninstall removes a self-hosted machine's installation and keeps its workspace. A node's Clean up a host command also deletes its microsandbox store and the account the installer created.
  • Recover from a failed or interrupted run. Ctrl-C at any step says to rerun the same command, and the rerun continues. Core, node and self-hosted downloads resume where they stopped. A node install that never registered recovers on rerun.
  • Clear failures. The installers check Docker access, the Web port and the public URL before they change anything, and name the fix: the docker group, the installation that holds the port, or a root-owned path. A node that cannot connect logs why.
  • Safer by default. Installation grants stay out of process arguments; self-hosted uninstall deletes only what its installation owns; the Core key is printed only on a fresh install, and reruns print oac core-key --show.
