Sidecar 1.13.0

Sidecar 1.13.0 adds polls, proof of work on posts, and a fix for replies that other clients send as comments rather than notes.

Ask a question from the composer and read the full tally in the panel: every option with its count and share, who picked which, and the winner once it closes.

Optional proof of work, off unless you turn it on and set per account, mined in the background so nothing freezes.

Many clients now answer a note with a comment rather than a note. Everything below the first level of those threads was invisible in the bell. It isn't now.

Podcasting 2.0 boosts work, paid from your own wallet, with the show and the message named on the approval instead of a node key.

A payment already going out moves to a small indicator in the corner instead of holding the page, and only says it is sending once you have approved it.

Install

Chrome, Brave, Edge and other Chromium browsers: the Chrome Web Store build updates automatically. 1.13.0 is in review; until it clears, the store still serves 1.12.0.

Firefox 128+: sidecar-1.13.0-firefox.xpi is signed by Mozilla and installs from about:addons gear Install Add-on From File. It does not auto-update, so check back here for the next one. The unsigned sidecar-1.13.0-firefox.zip is the same build for temporary loading via about:debugging.

sidecar-1.13.0-source.zip is the complete repository at this tag, for anyone reproducing the package. REVIEWERS.md inside it has the instructions; scripts/package.sh is deterministic, so the SHA-256 below is reproducible from the tag.
