Original release notes
[!CAUTION] We advise from using this version and instead recommend using 2026.10. This release contains an error that could cause the tunnel to get stuck in connecting/disconnecting if QUIC is used. After this happens it is impossible to affect the tunnel in any way and the only way to disconnect is either by disconnecting via the system settings or force stopping the app.
[!NOTE] This and previous releases contains issue that in some cases causes the first connection attempt to fail when using features such as Quantum-resistant tunnels or DAITA. A fix for this will be included in a future release.
Here is a list of all changes since last stable release android/2026.8:
Fixed
- Fix LWO not working with with multihop, DAITA on, and PQ off.
- Fix the sorting of the location list in English being incorrect.
- Fix the device sometimes being incorrectly marked as revoked when the API rejects an expired
access token.
Added
- Make the map interactive, with support for pan, pinch-to-zoom, and fling. This is to discover
where servers are located as well as displaying your connection path.
- Add a new multihop design with a new "when needed" option that will automatically multihop
when it is needed given the currently active settings (e.g. DAITA is on).
- Highlight search phrase when searching in Select location.
Changed
- Route 10.124.0.0/23 inside the tunnel when Local network sharing is turned on. This is to enable
the use of SOCKS5 proxies on other relays together with Local network sharing.
- Filters are split into entry and exit filters which can be set independently from each other.
- Improve search in Select location, ordering is now by relevancy and fuzzy search results are
included.
