Sidecar 1.8.0

Original release notes

Sixth theme (Bauhaus), per-theme display fonts, Art Deco legibility fix, and a round of reliability fixes for signing, relays, the wallet, and follow-list reads.

New

  • Bauhaus theme - flat planes of primary color, black rule lines, a Futura-lineage display face. Sixth theme, third light theme.
  • Every theme has its own display font - six typefaces from six different categories. The theme picker is now a type specimen.
  • "Wrong account?" escape on the signing prompt - switch accounts without closing the prompt or reloading the page.
  • Distinct activity icons - reactions, zaps, reposts and mentions each carry their own glyph.

Fixed

  • Follow count and @-mention list now read NIP-65 relays - the profile's follow count was showing zero when a configured relay held a stale kind:3 and the healthy copy lived on NIP-65 declared relays. The same gap let a zero-follow event seed the wipe-detection baseline, which would have suppressed the warning before a real wipe.
  • A signing approval can no longer be hidden behind an open modal.
  • A signing request lost to a sleeping service worker is retried.
  • Relay connections are no longer exhausted; publish failures say something useful.
  • The wallet no longer dies until a reload (one NWC pool per client).
  • Copied secrets are cleared from the clipboard after 60 seconds.
  • The panel no longer repaints behind an open overlay.
  • Drag-to-reorder works at the top and bottom of the list.

Changed

  • Art Deco gold text on cream was 1.67:1 contrast - now a deep bronze at 5.23:1.
  • Film Noir background reworked - venetian-blind stripes replace Victorian filigree.
  • Relax countdown dots visible on light themes (were 1.28-1.74:1, invisible).
