AI and privacy dominate a 19-release day
Nineteen releases with no unifying protocol thread. Eight came from AI projects, seven from privacy tools, three from Bitcoin, and one from self-hosting. The AI cluster was infrastructure plumbing: llama.cpp added a working-directory picker for agents, llm CLI 0.32 overhauled how prompts and responses are represented, whisper.cpp synced with ggml, Room Connect Ecr shipped point-cloud generation for 3DGS, and HelixML improved chat UX. Privacy releases included Signal Android 8.22.0 linking tablets, Arti 2.5.1, Mullvad VPN 2026.4-beta1 for desktop, Bitwarden Clients Web 2026.7.1 updating the 1Password importer, Invidious 2.20260804.1 fixing a container regression, IronFox 153.0.3, and Element X iOS 26.08.1 rendering gallery items. Bitcoin saw Krux 26.08.0 replace its Python UR stack with a faster C module, Ledger Live Mobile 4.14.0, and Bitcoin Safe 2.1.2. OpenAI published a statement on third-party cybersecurity evaluation incidents.
