Original release notes
Please upgrade the LTC core ASAP. ---------------------------------------------------------
Security / hardening
- Adaptor-sig swaps: check the bid state sooner. A failed check no longer persists the message.
- Swap timeouts: measure the lock transaction timeout from the bid's last state change
rather than from its expiry, so a bidder's chosen bid validity period can no longer extend how long the other side waits.
- Offers: block count based lock types are rejected outside regtest.
Fixes
- The default and maximum for
sc_lock_tx_timeoutandsc_lock_tx_mempool_timeoutwere
transposed, so both were clamped to the maximum instead of using the intended default.
- Reduced the default and minimum lock transaction timeout to 20 minutes, so a stalled
counterparty is abandoned sooner.
- Automation: fix the cumulative bid value cap on reversed offers. It compared totals in
one chain's units against the offer amount in the other's, so the cap never triggered.
- Queued actions: retry bid acceptance after a transient error instead of erroring the bid.
- Treat socket errors, and timeouts other than read timeouts, as transient.
Daemon updates
- Litecoin bumped to v0.21.5.6.
- This release contains important security fixes.
- Please make sure to upgrade ASAP.
Upgrade note
- The lock transaction timeout now defaults to 20 minutes rather than several hours. Bids
waiting on a counterparty's lock transaction will time out considerably sooner; raise sc_lock_tx_timeout if you need the previous behaviour.
