Weekly Recap - Jun 7 to Jun 14, 2026

Weekly threads

lnd 0.21.0-beta propagates into downstream bundles

Lightning Terminal 0.17.0-alpha.rc1 ships lnd 0.21.0-beta, Taproot Assets 0.8.0, and Pool 0.7.1-beta as a single distribution package. lndinit 0.1.36-beta upgraded to the same lnd release. The SQL payment-store migration that landed in lnd 0.21.0-beta is now reaching operators via higher-level tooling, not just direct lnd installs.

Cashu implementations converge on database schema changes

Cashu CDK 0.17.0 warns of a mint database migration. ZEUS 13.1.0-beta2 added Cashu multi-mint sends and expanded Nostr Wallet Connect for iOS. Both releases signal active schema evolution in the Cashu ecosystem, requiring operator attention during upgrades.

Bitwarden cleans house on legacy feature flags

Bitwarden Server 2026.6.0 removed flags for consolidated session timeout, type-zero decryption, My Vault migration, and Send UI refresh. Bitwarden iOS and Android 2026.5.1 followed with subscription management in-app and Send hidden when org policy disables it. Coordinated removals suggest a stabilization phase after prior feature rollouts.

Vanadium and NewPipe patch around upstream platform changes

Vanadium 149.0.7827.102 tracked Chromium while reverting iframe process grouping for further evaluation. NewPipe 0.28.8 and NewPipe Extractor 0.26.3 worked around YouTube enforcing SABR protocol, though videos made for kids remain broken due to workaround limitations. Both show reactive patching to platform shifts outside their control.
